healing & caring
Here is a selection of images of casualties of war and drugs, commissioned
by charities and publishers, as well as coverage
of those who care for the sick and the elderly,
at home and in institutions. The second section
shows the pioneering work of Professor Sethi, an orthopaedic doctor from
Jaipur, India, who designed an inexpensive artificial limb using local
materials and technicians, and made it available to thousands of sufferers
of traffic accidents in India. His research centre now trains medics from
countries with victims of landmines.
